Outdoor Important Information

Outdoor 2022 will proceed as we did pre-COVID! We will not* have mini-leagues, bubbles, masks, or vaccination policies.

*This may change as required.

NEW OUTDOOR RULES

Please see the list of new/updated rules pertaining to this outdoor season.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

Incomplete entries are not accepted. Registrations must have the required registration form filled out, include payment, and be submitted before the registration deadline or prior to playing/sitting on the bench. Otherwise teams/participants will be considered ineligible.

PAYMENTS

Saskatoon Adult Soccer CANNOT ACCEPT DEBIT OR CREDIT in office CASH ONLY.

We accept e-transfers for Team fees by sending them to executivedirector@saskatoonadultsoccer.com with the password as soccer.

We accept e-transfer for Player or Team Personnel fees by sending them to info@saskatoonadultsoccer.com.

BE SURE TO INCLUDE YOUR NAME AND YOUR TEAM’S NAME IN THE NOTES OF ALL E-TRANSFERS.

LEAGUE FEES

League fees cover the following costs: Field Rental, Administrative Costs and Referee Fees.  SSA Registration is no longer included in league fees and must be paid separately by each player when they register online.

Team Fees and Instalment Dates can be found on the Outdoor - League Fees page.

LEAGUE START DATE

The approximate start date for the 2022 Outdoor Season is May 6, 2022.

Not all leagues will play this day.

PLAYING ON MULTIPLE TEAMS

Players may register for multiple teams provided they are in different leagues and age eligible.

SAS leagues include:

  • Men’s/Women’s

  • Masters Men/Masters Women

  • Coed

  • Coed Masters

  • Legends Men/Legends Women

INDIVIDUAL PLAYER REGISTRATION & TEAM PERSONNEL REGISTRATION

Any person on the bench must be registered as either a player or Team Personnel.

Team Personnel registration is only required if you are not a player on the team with which you sit on the bench.

Individual Player Registration and Team Personnel Registration will open after Final Alignment when divisions have been set and teams have been accepted/placed in their final division. The team contacts will receive more information to forward to their players once we have placed the teams into a division.

All participants will be required to register themselves online and must pay their Individual Player Registration or Team Personnel fee before they will appear on a roster.

Individual Player Registration fee is $40 per season.

Team Personnel fee is $10 per season.

No refunds on Individual Player Registration or Team Personnel Registration.

Payment can be made at the time of registering via credit card through RAMP or you can select e-transfer or cash.

E-transfers for Individual Player Registrations and Team Personnel fees are different than team fees. Player Registration/Team Personnel fees go to info@saskatoonadultsoccer.com (and NOT to the ED email address!)

Please go to the Individual Player Registration page for full details.

RESCHEDULES

Teams will only be allowed to submit ONE Reschedule Request per season. The fee is determined by the submission date in respect to the game date.

Teams are also allowed and encouraged to identify one scheduling conflict on their team registration form which may be considered when the schedule is created.

See Forms - Reschedule Request Form for details.

GAME SHEETS

The Match Officials are responsible to bring the game sheets to each game for the outdoor season.

Game sheets will be pre-populated with players that have already been added to the roster. Please update the game sheet manually by writing in player names and current jersey numbers if additional players have registered since the game sheet was printed. Games will be overturned, and teams will be fined if they play ineligible/unregistered players.

Permit Players will also need to be manually added to the game sheet; please mark permit players with a “PP", "YP" or "GP" or penalties will apply. See below for more information.

NEW!! Injured players who are registered but not playing may remain on the bench and “TP” (Team Personnel) must be marked beside their name. (They will not need to register as Team Personnel unless they are not a player.)

SCHEDULED NIGHTS OF PLAY

SAS cannot confirm what nights each division will be playing on until the schedule is finalized. Often, we are able to keep divisions on the same nights that they played on in past seasons, but it is NOT a guarantee. Below is a breakdown of what nights each division should play this coming season (with the main night in bold):

M1: Sunday, Thursday

M2: Sunday, Wednesday

M3: Monday*, Wednesday

M4: Sunday, Tuesday

M5: Sunday, Wednesday

M6: Sunday, Tuesday

* In the event of stats or reschedules, games will take place on Wednesdays to avoid back-to-back Sunday-Monday games. Playoff Semi-Final games may take place on alternate night.

W1: Monday*, Thursday

W2: Sunday, Thursday

W3: Sunday, Wednesday

W4: Sunday, Tuesday

* In the event of stats or reschedules, games will take place on Wednesdays or Thursdays to avoid back-to-back Sunday-Monday games. Playoff Semi-Final games may take place on alternate night.

Coed/Coed Masters: Friday/Saturday

We avoid playing on stat weekends when able.

MW: Sunday, Wednesday

MM: Sunday, Thursday

Legends Men: Mondays*, Wednesdays

Legends Women: Tuesdays, Thursdays
* In the event of stats or reschedules, games will take place on Wednesdays to avoid back-to-back Sunday-Monday games.

PLAYER ID CARDS

A Player ID Card or Government issued photo I.D. is required at every game to play, and the card name must match the registration name. Photo I.D. Cards need to be shown to the referee before every game. You will not be allowed to play without a player ID card or Canadian Government issued photo I.D.

Player ID Cards no longer expire, and new cards will not have an expiration date on them. The expiration dates on older cards will simply be ignored. It is, however, each player’s responsibility to update their card if it is worn out or if the picture no longer resembles them.

AGE MINIMUM

You must be at least fifteen (15) years of age before you can participate in any SAS sanctioned games.

COMMUNICATION

You must provide accurate email addresses for team contacts. If you have not received any emails from our office by the time Final Alignment is released, then you need to contact SAS to make sure that the correct email address is being used or that it is not going to your junk mail.

PERMIT PLAYERS

SAS does not have a “pick-up” or “sub” players. For a player to be eligible to play on your team they must either be registered to your team, or be registered on a team within your league. Also, there are rules as to where players can permit. Ex: Division 1 cannot permit to Division 2 or lower. Permitting is allowed up divisions or within the same division under special circumstances.

Please refer to the Rules and Regulations to see what leagues your team can permit to/from as well as additional information on Youth Permits and Goalkeeper Permits. All Permit Players need to be manually added to the game sheet. Please mark permit players with a “PP", "YP" or "GP" or penalties will be applied.

Full details can be found in our Rules & Regulations - Permit Players.

Players can view their permit count on the Outdoor - Outdoor Permits. It is also the player’s responsibility to keep track of their permit numbers.

CITY FIELD NETS

Please be aware that the nets on city fields that are enclosed by fencing do not need to be taken down. However, the flags should still be put up and then away. Those fields include:

  • Newsham 3 & 4

  • Umea 4 & 5

  • Umea 5 Vast

Fields that require our nets AND flags to be put up and taken down are:

  • Forest Park 4, 5

  • Lakewood

  • Umea 6 (South)

  • Weaver

Field location can be found on the Outdoor - Fields page.

EQUIPMENT BOX KEYS

Teams are required to pick up at least one key for the outdoor session and return it at the end of the season.

Games will be forfeit in the absence of a key being picked up by the team by the specified date. Games will resume upon the key being picked up.

A deposit is required when the key is picked up. Deposits can be given by way of cash or cheques payable to Saskatoon Adult Soccer posted for September 1, 2022.

The deposit for the key will be deposited if not returned at the end of the season.

See Outdoor - Dates & Deadlines page for specific dates.
