1st Session of Outdoor 2021 - Schedule has been Released!
May. 07, 2021
The schedule has been released for the 1st session of Outdoor 2021!
As you will notice, we delayed the start date of the session due to the resumed suspension of adult games.
We opted to delay the schedule, as opposed to cancelling the session, for the possibility of a revision to the Saskatchewan’s Re-Opening Road Map to include games with restrictions. (Similar to what SAS has been offering, when able, for the past year.)
If we cannot start by June 1st, we will be forced to cancel the 1st session.
If it comes to that, we will announce the closure.
We have also delayed the opening of our Individual Player Registration. We will open it closer to the revised session start date. Once able, we will let you know.
Also, we do anticipate a 2nd session commencing in July. The current Re-Opening Road Map projects the return of sports (without restrictions) as of the third week in June.
This aligns nicely with our planned 2nd session from July to September. Our staff and board of directors will continue to plan, and we will release the information when it comes available.
If players want to train on their own in the meantime, you can book turf time with the Saskatoon Soccer Centre. If you use city space, please be conscientious of other users and maintaining a minimum of 5m separation between you and those other users. Also, there should not be more than 8 people per group or more than 30 people on a full field and distance of 2m should remain between you and the rest of your group. If 2m cannot be maintained, masks are required.
Our goal remains the same. To offer our players safety, fun, and, of course, our beautiful game of soccer.
SAS is currently following guidelines from the Government of Saskatchewan to practice social distancing. As such our office is currently closed to the public and staff are working remotely.
We remain committed to our members and will continue to be available during regular office hours by phone and, preferably, by email. If you favour a phone call, please leave a message and we will return your call.
