Discipline Guidelines

For a complete set of our Discipline Guidelines please go to the Rules & Regulations page.

Please note: It is the player's responsibility to sit out their next game after receiving a red card even if the next game is in a different league (ie. boarded, turf, coed), and regardless of whether notice was received from the office. If they partake in any SAS game after receiving a red card then that game will be overturned as per rule F.i.)  in section X. Ineligible Players.

For quick reference to our Discipline Guideline, two common rules that often apply are:

D. PLAYER MISCONDUCT

Yellow Card - Cautions (Accumulations)

d. Suspensions must be served with the Team on which the Player was registered at the time she or he received the Yellow Card.

J. BYLAWS

f. The following Discipline will apply to those players registered on multiple teams in the SAS League:
i. A player serving a suspension may not register with any other SAS Team in the current season while serving the suspension.
ii. A player must register on a SAS Team in a subsequent season to serve any outstanding suspension.
iii. Players receiving Red Cards will serve their suspension in consecutive games (ex. between all leagues - boarded, turf, masters, co-ed - if playing in more than one league) and not just with the team that they received the card with.

Failure to know the rules shall not be considered a defence.
